Ojon Hair treatment Sould I believe the hype????

I really want an honest answer. I bought this product and have not used it yet. Does is rally do all it says it does? What is your experience with this??Ojon Hair treatment Sould I believe the hype????
Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a ';little'; honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise.

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.Ojon Hair treatment Sould I believe the hype????
I've tried it..my mom ordered some and it doesnt work for me, I don;t think its really for my hair type. I have thirsty, dry, and frizzy hair. That stuff's not gonna do it for me... and my hair is LONG too so its not even enough for my hair

Has anyone tried Ojon hair care?

I believe it is worth the money. And here's a bit more info:

It's perfect for all hair types, especially dry, dull or damaged hair.

Ojon Hydrating Shampoo and Hydrating Conditioner are formulated for natural or chemically treated, curly, coarse or unruly hair. Use them every day without damaging hair or weighing it down. The Shampoo and Conditioner are made from 100% pure ojon palm nut oil, shea butter, sweet almond protein and babassu -- all active ingredients are natural, plant based extracts! Your hair is left clean, shiny, smooth and manageable.Has anyone tried Ojon hair care?
never even heard of itHas anyone tried Ojon hair care?
I just got the try me kit from Sephora.com and i'm sitting here now with the restoartive treatment in, smells like coffee or something. But I have been online looking it up,reading reviews,etc...Pretty interesting, but we'll see.I know one of teh reviews on ebay was by an african american woman who said it is great for our hair...I'll give it a shot, since playing beautician over the years has sent my hair into shock! lol
I have and the only thing I really liked was the restorative treatment. the shampoo and conditioner(hytdrating system) didnt really do anything for me. Not to mention the smell will catch you off gard it's a strong earthy smell like coffee.

So in my opinion the only thing worth the money is the treatment and the conditioning shine serum and nothing else. FYI the serum was my fav and a must have for frizzy hair and blow outs in general.
Yes, it actually dries out your hair, as you get older, your split ends will increase, and as you use it, your dandruff will increase!

Carlos Daughter healthy hair butter or ojon restorative hair treetment???? which is better?

well i have not tried ojon restoratives before but i have tried the healthy hair butter from carols daughter. i guess its ok the small runs about 9 bucks and the bigger size around 13.i say just use some coconut oil that's 99cent because the expensive stuff doesn't always work just because it cost more. i still have some of their hair exlier that was around 20 w/ tax that i am not even using. i am using olive oil the same one u cook with and its working fine on my hair and keeps the breakage to a mini um.

Has anyone tried ojon shampoo/conditioner?

i have thick hair and i need a good shampoo/conditioner and i was wondering if ojon worked. i dont want to spend $22 on something that doesnt work so i was just wondering if it does. :] thanksHas anyone tried ojon shampoo/conditioner?
i got a free sample from sephora one time.

i didn't notice much difference, and the smell was horrible. i dont know if they all smell the same, but make sure you smell it before you shell out that much!

i would really really superly recommend redken all soft. it makes your hair really soft and managable. i have thick hair too. and i love that shampoo. it has a very mild smell too.

i also like biolage too. works very well with my thick hair and has a nice flowery smell.

sorry for going off topic of the ojon. but i hope you find somethign that you like!

I suffer from male pattern baldness.can OJON generate hair growth.. would it bring back my lost hair?

I'm perturbed b'coz of my bald head. I'm just 21 yrs. old nd I can't be normal like my friends and like those people of my age. 3-4 yrs. ago i had a strong hair line but now i'm totally bald. it's a horrible stress for me. i need my hair back and it should be the natural way.can sum1 help me plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz to get out of this male pattern baldness.I suffer from male pattern baldness.can OJON generate hair growth.. would it bring back my lost hair?
No. You might get a very small amount of regrowth with DHT inhibitors like propecia and dutasteride, but none of these drugs really do all that much. 'Natural' treatments do even less. Your only real option is hair transplantation/cloning.I suffer from male pattern baldness.can OJON generate hair growth.. would it bring back my lost hair?
I'll advice you not to use drug based medications because of their side effects. If i may suggest, you should use organic based medications;i mean herbal, because of their effectiveness and non side effect. Some of these are FABAO101 (www.fabao.com) or (www.fabaocanada.com) formulars and MULTIFLORA 713(www.multiflora.co.uk).I suggest combining the two if you can afford, though multiflora is relatively cheap and it worked for me.
no it doesnt help

Ojon can be a little heavy. I used a little too much, and my hair felt like a grease ball. You definitely don't want to leave it in all night. Use a regular, clarifying shampoo and shampoo it out of your hair. I recommend that you just use a small amount, each time. I have realtively thick hair, and it really weighted down my hair. I love the products, but I use them in moderation. Don't make it your everyday shampoo/conditioner, try to use it only 1 time per week, and this should help.

Has any black women used Ojon product I have thinning hair at the top of my head and looking to try Ojon.?

Don't know about the product...do know about the basics of growing hair. at a glance it seems good however i am still skeptical.

Currently i have long hair and have been learning alot so...

i do not have a relaxer i stopped getting them 5 years ago ( and i've only have 3 relaxers in my life time so this is all natural) so i can show you how to take care of hair with or without a relaxer. With relaxers retaining moisture is key.

    1. The shampoo, unfortunately many black women are using shampoos with alcohol, petroleum jelly, and excessive amounts sulfates. step away from them. Use Aveda's shampoo.. specifically the name is Brilliant...go to the website. I use it, i love it, it moisturizes my hair and the products are natural. i have also heard that KeraCare's shampoo is great for relaxed hair.

    2. Okay, step two condition it and then it is time to comb it out, Do not use a brush on you hair when it is wet..it will hate you for it then break off in revenge. Put your your sections use a big tooth comb, to untangle it

    3. Do a hot oil treatment atleast once a month with extra virgin olive oil...repeat..EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil..not the regular stuff. unfortunately i have yet to take this step however my hair is doing great. Protein treatment could also be good for you( do some research to find out about the technique) and deep conditioning.

    4. Okay on the daily basis you need to pay close attention to your hair...i recommend conditioning your scalp(3-4 times a week) and your ends(everyday) so that they will not get dry and unhealthy Petroleum jellly and mineral oil are weapons of mass destruction ( in other words do not use grease) it does so much harm to your hair it cannot be all explained here. So you ask what do I use...well natural carrier oils grapeseed oil ( use it for hair it deflects heat so it is good for flat iron users like us)jojoba oil(i use this for my scalp), extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, emu oil, coconut oil...all these natural oils and more love you..i promise. Also put a drop of essetial oil such as basil, peppermint, myrrh, rosemary, tea trea oil in 4 tablespoons of carrier oil .

    5. Next,,if you want your hair straight but still be natural it is time to get a freakin good flat iron.,i have the Chi..it does the job but I recommend getting the Sedu because of the good reviews. make sure to protect your hair..i have so thermal protector from Aveda. When flat ironing your hair do not let the iron stay on your hair for too long, just 1-2 quick swipes.

I strongly advise against flat iron use for those with relaxers.

    6. If you have a relaxer ( i have heard and seen that Affirm ww.avlon.com is the best relaxer) don't continue to relaxer all your hair everytime you go to the salon..just the new growth and try to stretch relaxers as long as possible. It is best for relaxers hair to do roller sets under a hooded dryer, with the lowest temperature possible.

    7. You do not need to trim your hair everytime you go to the salon maybe every 3 to 6 months.

    8. Wrap your hair in a satin or silk scarf to prevent damage before you go to bed.

    9. Eat healthy, drink lots of water, a diet with lean protein can help..this is easy for me since i love meat.

10 take multivitamins, and fish oil pills you can get from GNC.

Follow these steps and life will be good..the best part about flat iron (which i do once a week or every two weeks not everday since it will kill your hair) is that it is not stringy but thick and healthy, yet straight and light enough to blow in the wind.Has any black women used Ojon product I have thinning hair at the top of my head and looking to try Ojon.?
Never heard of it. Try this web forum and see if they ladies her have used/heard of it. http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/

By the way what are the ingredients? Anything with mineral oil, petroleum jelly, lanolin oil is not good for the hair.Has any black women used Ojon product I have thinning hair at the top of my head and looking to try Ojon.?
I am A/A and I have used Ojon products. I absolutely love them. The do have a series of products for thinning hair--thickening shampoo, conditioner and spray. I use the Shine and Protect series, personally.

I will say this, a couple of years ago I got a weave...it was absolutely gorgeous, but the color was slightly off from my own. I thought that I would color the part of my own hair that was left out.....wrooooong move!!! The dye got under the tracks and took a coin dollar size chunk off hair out of my head....baby *** smooth was the result, to be honest!!! I was scared to death...my Gram, who was an old school hair dresser told me to use Glover's Mane...it stinks like I don't know what, and is a disgusting color. But, guess what my hair was back, bald spot completely filled and in about 2 months. I still use it on my edges when I get my hair braided.

Vitamins are abig help too, especially prenatal vitamins.

Has anyone ever used OJON products?

If so, what do you like or dislike about the product?Has anyone ever used OJON products?
I work in the beauty industry therefore I feel the need to try all new products. I purchased a travel size kit from Ojon that contained a moisturizing shampoo, conditoner, treatment. This product is very pricey by the way, so I thought it would totally transform my hair. Wrong! It was a complete waste of $50. The products smell very bad! You have to use a lot of the shampoo to get it to lather and the conditioning treatment is so greasy and stinky that i could smell it on my hair for days! Save your money and stick to drugstore brand hair products..after all my research they work better and will save you lots of moolah..Good luck!Has anyone ever used OJON products?
It is suppose to be a very good product I suggest you try it for yourself everyones hair is diferent so what may not work for someone may work for you. I hear the deep conditioning product is the key . I would try the conditioner it is highly rated.. Report Abuse

  • Are Ojon products good for african-american hair? ?

I don't have a relaxer but my hair is color treated. I am trying to find good products that truly work for my hair. I don't like products that have a heavy floral or perfumed smell and I know you have to be careful because shampoos and conditioners can have an adverse reaction with chemicals in the hair. I just want to maintain my hair and keep it growing. Are Ojon products good for african-american hair? ?
I have not heard of Ojon but I do have other choices for good products.

HAIR PRODUCTS FOR NATURAL BLACK HAIR:

    1. Ones without sulfates/silicones are best. These are found online or specialty stores Jessicurl, Mixed Chicks, DevaCare, Blended Beauty, Karen Body Beautiful, Kinky Curly Custard are some of the best.

    2. Mainstream products for your hair: Pantene, Herbal Essences, Suave, and Clairol are the best. Pantene is great because it makes detangling a breeze. Terri @ biracialhair.org has great advice on washing and conditioning.

    http://biracialhair.org/CurlyPrimer.aspx

    3. Styling helpers: gels like LA Looks or Fantasia IC, setting lotions, nut butters like shea butter, leave in conditioner.

    4. Also since your hair is color treated it is damaged. Color=damage, you should do a protein treatment like Aphogee A Step every now and then.

    5. I like shampoos without sulfates becuase they are too harsh for our hair type. I use Aubrey Organix products or Apple Cider Vinegar.

Conditioner, conditioner, conditioner, your hair will be very porous (curly/kinky hair is) so it will gain/lose moisture fast. Conditioners seal moisture in. Dry hair is more brittle, tangly, and frizzy. While still wet apply a condish. I personally am moving toward more natural products like shea butter, oils like coconut, and even natural shampoos like apple cider vinegar.

Well its about 8-12 inches now If I take care it correctly how long would be in a year

****Im african american, and i dont get perms alot because i use ojon****How Long Will My Hair Be In A Year If I Use Ojon Shampoo?
It would be just as long as it would be if you didn't use Ojon. Ojon Hair Products help hydrate, strengthen, and restore dry, damaged hair; but it does not effect the rate of growth. Since, the maximum growth rate for hair is about 6 inches (15 cm) per year, you should have 14-18 inches in a year's time. How Long Will My Hair Be In A Year If I Use Ojon Shampoo?
Most peoples hair grow an AVERAGE of 1/4 to 1/2 inch per month, some that take vitamins may experience faster.

Is the Ojon Oil for hair a good product?

Just wondering if it is worth buying? Is the Ojon Oil for hair a good product?
it is definitely worth buying, it has made my hair so much healthier and stronger, it is worth the money, i would go to sephora or http://www.sephora.com and look at their productsIs the Ojon Oil for hair a good product?
Hi, I have used Ojon, and I can tell you, for the price and the preformance of the product, don't waste your money on it. I have tried alot of hair products, I have ';difficult'; hair! I thought I would splurge on this, and I may as well have went to Walmart! If I can suggest something, I really LOVE Nexxus products. I go back to them every time. And believe it or not, they actually DO sell those at Walmart! Alot cheaper than the salon. When you mentioned oil, I take it you may have dry hair? Try the Therappe. Or something with an OLIVE OIL in it. That is getting great reviews everywhere! They have those products at Walmart too! You may have to ask someone to direct you to them. But I will tell you from spending LOTS of money on Philosophy, Ojon, and the spendy! products, Nexxus is not too cheap, but it is GREAT and lasts alot longer than the Ojon too! They have a whole product line of everything right there at Walmart, believe or not!! Good luck to you!!
    YES IT IS!

i bought the whole set from sephora (hairspray, revitalizing mist, the hair restorive treatment.. etc)

the oil is extrememly good, it makes your hair silky and smooth and dont forget shiny, but it does not leave it oily at all. it works wonders for me!
ive never tried it... but ive heard that ojon is an amazing brand! drop by sephora to get a free sample and see if you like it.

Does the ojon rub in dry shampoo from Sephora cost the same online and at the store?

Online the ojon dry shampoo costs 24 dollars, and now it only costs 10 for 4,5 oz. Is it the same in the store?

they both are a waste of money. i tried the ojon products and i dont like them. especially the dry shampoo, it makes ur hair look grey. its so stupidDoes the ojon rub in dry shampoo from Sephora cost the same online and at the store?
In my experience with Sephora the store price and online price are exactly the same.

try beauty.com too. it may be the same price there too, but they do also carry high end brand name cosmetics and hair products.

I just bought Ojon restorative hair treatment . Anyone have an tips on how to get the most out of it??

I can't figure out how much to use or how long to leave it in. My biggest problem are the ';underlayers'; in the back of my hair. They are dry, damaged, and hurting from too much curling iron. Lately they've been a knotty mess, and it seems like an awful lot gets ripped out in my comb! I'd be grateful for any advice!I just bought Ojon restorative hair treatment . Anyone have an tips on how to get the most out of it??
Best advice is take it back %26amp; get Wella's Liquid Hair. It is the BEST thing for damaged hair because it contains hydrolized human hair that will actually absorb %26amp; bond to your hair. I use it daily %26amp; my hair is awesome now. My hair is platinum blonde %26amp; really damaged from all the bleach. Now that I have been using this product for a month, my hair is soft %26amp; strong again. I have tried almost everything else on the market %26amp; nothing comes close to what this has done for me.

Ojon does it really make your hair look that good?

I wanted to try Ojon but it is expensive! Does it really make your hair that shiny and frizz free? I have frizzy hair what would you recommed?Ojon does it really make your hair look that good?
The serum was the only thing that I liked. It made my hair shiny and frizz free when I used on my blow out and when useing it as a finishing product. I would recomend the serum to anyone but the oil it's self was ok and the hydrating shampoo and conditioner werent all that great and made my hair frizzy. The oil, shampoo and conditioner all have the nutty coffee earthy smell but the serum doesn't.

Which is a better product for damaged black hair? Carols Daughter or Ojon?

I am currently considering either buying the Carols Daughter or the Ojon line of hair care products. I am currently growing out my relaxer and want to move toward more natural products to help with my dry/damaged hair. Has anyone tried both?Which is a better product for damaged black hair? Carols Daughter or Ojon?
i would recommend the ojon line. i have been using the restoritive treatment 2 times a week for about a year and what it does is amazing. as it is a natural oil, it penetraits deep into the scalp, which will help with the new growth, and also, it will help repair the damage that is at the mid-lengths to the roots. i am a hair stylist, and i am pretty fussy about what i recommend to clients and use on own my hair. it is the best %26amp; easiest treatment to use!!!Which is a better product for damaged black hair? Carols Daughter or Ojon?
My cousin is a stylist and she says great things about Carol's Daughter. On the other hand, I've never heard anything about Ojon, never even heard the name.
Carol's Daughter Works And Smells Great!

What is the coffee ingredient in the ojon products?

Can someone tell me what is the ingredient that gives the coffee smell in the ojon product?

What's your opinion on ojon restorative hair treatment?

I love it but then hate it it really works but it is hard to get out and i flat iron my hair everyday and don't think i need to use it every week? What's your opinion on ojon restorative hair treatment?
It works really good for me because my hair is naturally extremely dry. Like no moisture whatsoever. But what I do is I use the restorative treatment just before I go to sleep and leave it in, then in the morning use regular shampoo but use the ojon conditioner. I guess I would use the ojon shampoo too if it weren't so damn expensive.

Why does Ojon hair treatment look different in the pictures than in real life?

It can't just be the lighting/flash can it? The consistency, color, and texture all look different. It looks so waxy and a honey color in real life. In the pictures It looks really nice, dark brown, and grainy. Why does Ojon hair treatment look different in the pictures than in real life?
