it may- I know that people have had to give up a certain type of mulch with cocoa beans in it because it have a negative effect on their pooch. that being said, why does yor dog need hair restoration??Does Ojon, which contains a high cocoa content, harm dogs if you put it on their fur?
Uh duh, yeah it is bad for your dog. The dog might be allergic to the chemicals and you have a trip to the vets office, it is more than washing it off. Not a good idea. Are you bored? Go read a book or go hang out with friends or something, but leave your dogs alone. If your dog is loosing fur- see a vet- it most likely has a skin mite, skin infection, or a different underlying medical condition
What on earth would you want to put restorative hair treatment on your dog for. You could cause a lot of problems. Forget about it.

Who has tried Ojon hair products ?
For those who have used Ojon, or known someone who has, have you had any benefits for your hair, or heard of any good ,or not so good experiences? If so, in what way? I was about to buy a set of these products available on QVC for a minimal price and free delivery. Nothing else has worked for my hair, so this will be my last try. Thanks for all comments, I will try to give all a green thumbs up. Who has tried Ojon hair products ?
I love Ojon! It's pricey, but at Sephora they'll make you a sample of anything in the store so I had them make me a sample of the ultra hydrating shampoo and conditioner and it worked so well! My hair was super soft and manageable and smelled wonderful :)

Ok so I was on Sephora.com and apparently this ';Ojon'; stuff is really good, but all of their models have black (or just really dark) ethnic hair. I have light golden brown hair that is somewhat damaged/firzzy, and even though it isn't greasy products can EASILY make it look that way. Ojon products are great, but they are geared toward curly hair. I have curly hair and need the extra conditioning, so they work great for me. Curly hair tends to be drier than straight hair. If your hair is straight then it may make your hair feel a bit greasy.skin industries

It has a strong incense and coffee smell and even after washing you can still smell it. The prices are pretty high too although you can save a bit by buying them from QVC if you still decide to try them. I recommend Frederic Fekkai Shea butter hair products.. they smell great, work very well, and cost less than Ojon. Good Luck!Ojon Products???

I have healthy hair but lately I've been getting split ends. I trimmed off everything and I still have length (down to my shoulders). Yes, I use it about 2-3 times a month. I have chemically straightened and colored hair, this is what keeps my hair in amazing condition. I use it and love it I have super curly but fine hair and Ojon has really transformed my hair. It is on the expensive side but worth it, I've found that QVC has the lowest prices although the discount margin isn't that huge!

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.
First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)
Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)
Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a ';little'; honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)
Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise.
The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

well i have not tried ojon restoratives before but i have tried the healthy hair butter from carols daughter. i guess its ok the small runs about 9 bucks and the bigger size around 13.i say just use some coconut oil that's 99cent because the expensive stuff doesn't always work just because it cost more. i still have some of their hair exlier that was around 20 w/ tax that i am not even using. i am using olive oil the same one u cook with and its working fine on my hair and keeps the breakage to a mini um.

Ojon can be a little heavy. I used a little too much, and my hair felt like a grease ball. You definitely don't want to leave it in all night. Use a regular, clarifying shampoo and shampoo it out of your hair. I recommend that you just use a small amount, each time. I have realtively thick hair, and it really weighted down my hair. I love the products, but I use them in moderation. Don't make it your everyday shampoo/conditioner, try to use it only 1 time per week, and this should help.skin industries

Don't know about the product...do know about the basics of growing hair. at a glance it seems good however i am still skeptical.
Currently i have long hair and have been learning alot so...
i do not have a relaxer i stopped getting them 5 years ago ( and i've only have 3 relaxers in my life time so this is all natural) so i can show you how to take care of hair with or without a relaxer. With relaxers retaining moisture is key.
1. The shampoo, unfortunately many black women are using shampoos with alcohol, petroleum jelly, and excessive amounts sulfates. step away from them. Use Aveda's shampoo.. specifically the name is Brilliant...go to the website. I use it, i love it, it moisturizes my hair and the products are natural. i have also heard that KeraCare's shampoo is great for relaxed hair.
2. Okay, step two condition it and then it is time to comb it out, Do not use a brush on you hair when it is wet..it will hate you for it then break off in revenge. Put your your sections use a big tooth comb, to untangle it
3. Do a hot oil treatment atleast once a month with extra virgin olive oil...repeat..EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil..not the regular stuff. unfortunately i have yet to take this step however my hair is doing great. Protein treatment could also be good for you( do some research to find out about the technique) and deep conditioning.
4. Okay on the daily basis you need to pay close attention to your hair...i recommend conditioning your scalp(3-4 times a week) and your ends(everyday) so that they will not get dry and unhealthy Petroleum jellly and mineral oil are weapons of mass destruction ( in other words do not use grease) it does so much harm to your hair it cannot be all explained here. So you ask what do I use...well natural carrier oils grapeseed oil ( use it for hair it deflects heat so it is good for flat iron users like us)jojoba oil(i use this for my scalp), extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, emu oil, coconut oil...all these natural oils and more love you..i promise. Also put a drop of essetial oil such as basil, peppermint, myrrh, rosemary, tea trea oil in 4 tablespoons of carrier oil .
5. Next,,if you want your hair straight but still be natural it is time to get a freakin good flat iron.,i have the Chi..it does the job but I recommend getting the Sedu because of the good reviews. make sure to protect your hair..i have so thermal protector from Aveda. When flat ironing your hair do not let the iron stay on your hair for too long, just 1-2 quick swipes.
I strongly advise against flat iron use for those with relaxers.
6. If you have a relaxer ( i have heard and seen that Affirm ww.avlon.com is the best relaxer) don't continue to relaxer all your hair everytime you go to the salon..just the new growth and try to stretch relaxers as long as possible. It is best for relaxers hair to do roller sets under a hooded dryer,with the lowest temperature possible.
7. You do not need to trim your hair everytime you go to the salon maybe every 3 to 6 months.
8. Wrap your hair in a satin or silk scarf to prevent damage before you go to bed.
9. Eat healthy, drink lots of water, a diet with lean protein can help..this is easy for me since i love meat.
10 take multivitamins, and fish oil pills you can get from GNC.

I will say this, a couple of years ago I got a weave...it was absolutely gorgeous, but the color was slightly off from my own. I thought that I would color the part of my own hair that was left out.....wrooooong move!!! The dye got under the tracks and took a coin dollar size chunk off hair out of my head....baby *** smooth was the result, to be honest!!! I was scared to death...my Gram, who was an old school hair dresser told me to use Glover's Mane...it stinks like I don't know what,and is a disgusting color. But, guess what my hair was back, bald spot completely filled and in about 2 months. I still use it on my edges when I get my hair braided.
Vitamins are abig help too, especially prenatal vitamins.

It's $260 if ur hair is on ur shoulders and costs more if it's on ur back...... it worked for me cuz my hair is exactly like urs. i'm 14 and i'm telling u... just do it. get a part time job. my hair is absolutely amazing and it wasn't a waste of time.

Well everytime I heard about it, the product is meant for ALL HAIR TYPES so I would assume that includes Black hair. however as someone with unrelaxed Black hair, I have come to find out that FOR ALL HAIR TYPES normally has a small print 'not including natural black hair'. I thought I would splurge on this, and I may as well have went to Walmart! If I can suggest something, I really LOVE Nexxus products. I go back to them every time. And believe it or not,they actually DO sell those at Walmart! Alot cheaper than the salon. When you mentioned oil, I take it you may have dry hair? Try the Therappe. Or something with an OLIVE OIL in it. That is getting great reviews everywhere! They have those products at Walmart too! You may have to ask someone to direct you to them. But I will tell you from spending LOTS of money on Philosophy, Ojon, and the spendy! products, Nexxus is not too cheap, but it is GREAT and lasts alot longer than the Ojon too! The serum was the only thing that I liked. It made my hair shiny and frizz free when I used on my blow out and when useing it as a finishing product. I would recomend the serum to anyone but the oil it's self was ok and the hydrating shampoo and conditioner werent all that great and made my hair frizzy. I use the utra hydrating. works very well..the restoratie treatment turns into oil. rub a little in your hands and apply to hair. I leave on for 2-3 days.

I use the utra hydrating. works very well..the restoratie treatment turns into oil. rub a little in your hands and apply to hair. I leave on for 2-3 days.

I am currently considering either buying the Carols Daughter or the Ojon line of hair care products. I am currently growing out my relaxer and want to move toward more natural products to help with my dry/damaged hair. Has anyone tried both?Which is a better product for damaged black hair? i would recommend the ojon line. i have been using the restoritive treatment 2 times a week for about a year and what it does is amazing. as it is a natural oil, it penetraits deep into the scalp, which will help with the new growth, and also, it will help repair the damage that is at the mid-lengths to the roots. i am a hair stylist, and i am pretty fussy about what i recommend to clients and use on own my hair. it is the best %26amp; easiest treatment to use!!!Which is a better product for damaged black hair? It works really good for me because my hair is naturally extremely dry. Like no moisture whatsoever. But what I do is I use the restorative treatment just before I go to sleep and leave it in, then in the morning use regular shampoo but use the ojon conditioner. I guess I would use the ojon shampoo too if it weren't so damn expensive.

Why does Ojon hair treatment look different in the pictures than in real life?
It can't just be the lighting/flash can it? The consistency, color, and texture all look different. It looks so waxy and a honey color in real life. In the pictures It looks really nice, dark brown, and grainy.Why does Ojon hair treatment look different in the pictures than in real life?
